Community Supported Railo Installers

This section is devoted to the recognition and promotion of community supported installers for Railo. If you have an installer or an installation method that you've developed for Railo, we'll help spread the word about it here. If you're looking to get Railo installed on your systems, we've outlined the different installers and installation methods below.

Vivio Installer for Railo

Jordan Michaels from  Vivio Technologies has put together the Railo Installer in the hopes of making the deployment of Railo a very simple process. The Installer creates a stand-alone instance of Railo, Tomcat, and Sun's JRE 1.6 specifically for use with Railo. It also makes installing the web server connector a snap.

If you've ever installed ColdFusion 7, ColdFusion 8, or BlueDragon Server JX in a Linux environment, then using the Railo Installer should be very familiar to you. The Railo Installer was designed to function very similar to how those installers functioned, and provide an functioning server that is similar to manage. All sites which contain CFM templates are processed by a single instance of Railo and Tomcat – just like you would find with standard installations of ColdFusion 7/8 and BlueDragon Server JX. The hope is that the installer would lower the learning curve required to utilize Railo for both existing CFML developers, and new CFML developers.
